I don't really want to go back to the doctor to get a perscription for nausea pills when I only have to take these steroids till saturday though =)

 

Having bought a house last year I would say that if you're planning on using Mturk income as proof of income to get a mortgage be prepared as it likely won't be very easy. Since you aren't an employee and they can't really do much to verify the data they may not be willing to accept it. The company i work at for my day job sold us off to a staffing agency last year right before we bought the house and they kept going on and on about it. They called me with questions about it no less than 5 or 6 times during the process. I would say Mturk is a good way to save up the closing and down payment type stuff but I don't think I'd rely on it as a source of income to guarantee the loan.

You might be able to call them and ask them to phone in a prescription without you needing to come back into the office. You could also try some of the old wives remedies like saltines, plain toast, chicken broth, or... and this one is weird but it totally worked when I got sick on vacation last year, drink the juice from either canned or those little cups of diced peaches. I have no idea why that one works lol.

 

I'd call them, it's not controlled or anything, maybe they can send it right to your pharmacy.

I've done one before and it was quite detailed and seemed pretty long....don't have an exact time for you. Worth it if you don't have other things to work on, my opinion.

Thank you for the info. I am keeping good records in quickbooks and have a separate bank account I use to deposit my Turk earnings into so I have the statements as well. My part-time job is at a major bank and I am going to make an appointment to talk with hour LO and see if there is anything else I need to do for proof of income there.

I can't work at a regular 40hr a week job because I have some physical problems that prevent it. So, I'll need Turk to cover what I can't make elsewhere. I'm hoping to have more than 20% down but I'm not sure I'll be able to.

Check into the special options for anything you might qualify for. We got our loan through a HUD program for Tribe Members that meant we didn't have to pay the 20% down or pay the mortgage insurance. There are literally 1000's of programs so do some research before you meet with them. Lots of them are based on income, disability, heritage, minority status, etc... You might also explore rent to own options. Not sure if that's a thing in WA but around here you can occasionally find rent to own houses where the owner puts a portion of your monthly rent for so many years towards the down payment and closing costs and eventually sells it to you.
