That is reassuring to hear. And you're right, most surgeries result in being better, and not dead or worse. Which is... why they do it in the first place. Must remember that. Hah.

I caught that UNU qual while I was away from my desk and it expired.

 

Think of it this way.
If they have set your appointment that far out it probably isn't that bad.
I would be more afraid if they were rushing you in the next day.

Especially because you're young! A few of my friends have had parents and grandparents get high risk heart surgery and they were totally fine, and I doubt yours will be like that at all. It is tough to wait two months, definitely, but at least they weren't so concerned to rush you in immediately! It looks like there are a few proactive things you can do in the meantime, like keeping a healthy lifestyle etc, which I think I remember you saying you do? So, you're good, you'll be good.
