Pros:
Pretty much the epitome of performance based pay. Winning the $250 bonus would put this into $400/hr territory. Any of the other bonuses would make it worthwhile, especially for what is largely a "fun" HIT, so not rating sentiment on this.

You could also whiz through it far faster if you've already done your research for other brackets, or are just smarter than me & don't outsmart yourself here.
Cons:
Without winning a bonus this will be one of the worst time investments I've ever made.
Given my final four picks, this was probably one of the worst time investments I've ever made.

Well isn't that a tidy set up for them? I'd still tell them to kick rocks. Unless your HOA says something to the contrary about this situation, since they are lawyers, using the right legal terms (no contract, no notice, etc) would get them to stand down when think it over and realize they went about things out of order. You can explain your situation to them if you want, but unless HOA says otherwise, you don't have to justify reasons to them unless you're just trying to keep the peace.
