You too? My super fancy flip keys have both broken and they are $250 to replace. Kia? I super glued that shit for now. It seems to be holding up ok. The dealer did tell me I could just have a regular key cut for $10 at a locksmith and keep it on the same ring as the fob so I can unlock and the transponder thingy is close enough to start the car.

Just to play devil's advocate, i use to say all the time that i was gonna hit the booze and then not but come back later to turk more. I actually talk about drinking a lot more than I actually do it. I find it entertianing when people think I'm some crazy alcoholic when it takes me a month to drink a 12 pack. And everyone at their "day job" talks about their drinking habits post-clock out too.
HOWEVER, when people say "omg i'm so drunk/high/etc" and then admit that they are actually turking, yah. that's not cool.

I don't know about this but even federally legal versus state by state seems like a pretty fuzzy line. Especially since we aren't all in the same country anyhow. So I agree 'under the influence' is the better route to take.

Would most of the jobs you've held be alright with you grabbing a cocktail on your lunch break (think HR department, not your individual bosses)? IME - mine have not been alright with the idea (aside from a few select bosses where, y'know, they didn't give a shit because underpaid). There is a lot to be said for the semblance of having ones shit together in life. Its not like you can't do it, but would you actually call your district/regional manager and be like "yo I'm tossing back a cold one I'll fill out that paperwork that's really important to you when I'm done" in most reasonable scenarios?

That's my only argument. I don't give a rats ass what any of y'all do on your own time/dime lol. Just a little more discretion than "ALRIGHT GUYS IM FUCKED UP TIME TO TURK" would really go a long way.

The best solution, in my mind, is to populate the off-topic forums with these sorts of conversations. It cuts down on the redundancy (we don't need daily reminders of what, exactly, you drink and when you drink it) and it livens up the community. It also provides a place where you can get to the meat and potatoes of a given topic and discuss it at length. Further, it's pretty hard to try and use the "this is a website for work!" defense when multiple pages of the daily thread are dedicated to booze/drugs/boobs/hamster anime.

EDIT: Not trying to single anybody out or make anyone feel uncomfortable. Hell, I'm very guilty of off-topic conversation. Sometimes, though, it feels like we go over some of the same things day after day and it gets a little stale.
