    Sometimes I'll add a hit to PC that I know has a ton available and I'll get from clicking accept just so I can be reminded who not to take presents from.

    @Randomacts - I am using my Reman. HP SFF Business desktop I paid $200 for, it has a 3 series quad iS, 16GB ram (Expandable to 32GB) and I added a dual head vid card off ebay and a Samsung PRO 850 SDD. It's all I really need. I bought an extra motherboard and power supply just in case. Should have never got that Lappy

    Laptops are useful if you travel / move around a lot. Personally I'm more of a fan of decent desktop + light and cheap laptop. It works better for most people.

    Yeah that is more of a portable desktop than a laptop.

    A chromebook or something would have great battery life while being cheap. Unless you actually need the extra power that would prob work well enough for travel uses.

    The only time I need a laptop is on the job and I carry an older dell cause it has a serial port for the Console cable to connect to Cisco admin port
