    I've done a lot of the 20 question hits, the problem is if you get stuck as the answerer, because you don't really have any agency and a lot of the time you need an additional response like "wrong category" or "different scale" which aren't available.

    If you're the questioner you can usually get to the bottom of it in 10 or so questions, then you have to spend the rest of the time asking stuff like "Are you having a nice day?" and "Would you like it if I took a 20 minute break before asking my next question?"

    I suppose the problem is that if they gave an escape "I'm sure I have the right answer" then people would just skip to the end and never do the full 20 rounds, because people are awful.
