05/04 - May The Fourth Be With You Friday!

I did two rooms in Olympic a several years ago. I needed no-VOC and they were the only ones I could find with good reviews under $50 a can. Came out great, still looks great. I'm not sure about their regular stuff, maybe they put more effort into the one they charge more for, but no complaints on what I used.

 

beauty is in the eye of the beholder but aside from aesthetics (i prefer flat, looks "clean") its a haven for dust & god forbid a bug crawls up there its impossible to squish with all the crevices to hide in

optical illusion wise it made my ceilings look 2 feet taller i swear. between how the light bounces around the room (i think the popcorn "eats" the light or some crazy pseudo-science garbo) & the flat lines idk just made all my rooms look bigger.. its absurdly noticeable when you're doing it room by room and one still has the old ceiling lol.

I did get the good paint and primer in it. Hopefully it will turn out great. So far they are still doing all the prep work. Taping, repairing spots in drywall, moving blinds etc. Oh, I DM'd you a reply.

 

Wait, how do I leave a review for a batch? Is that just not allowed any more? They upped the price, so the hourly is a touch better (still sucky)

 

Popcorn went out of style apparently and it does make the room "bigger" without it. More clean lines.

 

I hate popcorn ceilings!! Such dust collectors!

I have 3 areas that are spider web cracked and I will probably need to have mine removed cause nobody seems to be able to match it

 

Is there a workstation/workspace thread here? I'd love to see who uses their 8k dual monitor water cooled gaming rigs and who uses old Android tablets on the toilet.

Cat/dog hair gets stuck in our popcorn ceiling and it's a giant nightmare to get off. We didn't have this issue with flat ones.

 

I haven't done a ton, but just mentally replace "someone" with like a 'Bob' or 'Alice' and it'll read better for you I'm guessing. In terms of the pronouns, sometimes yes and sometimes no. But you can also place that under minor grammar mistakes, and not let the pronoun change your decision on the sentence.

 

No worries. Yep I have real actual painters! I did it last time and the results were less than what I wanted. So I'm happy I got a pro crew.
