Question, the only reason I took that shitshow of a survey was because the rating showed it was 12/hr on TV, and it was all Green on the TOs (lol) so I went and did it. But when you look at the TV rating it has 4 terrible reviews, but it's only showing the one good review on the Mturk homepage and in MTS.

No I mean on the main mturk page where you hover over the little button and it shows the hourly on TV and ratings. Or in MTS where it shows that. I'm not gonna visit the actual TV page before I do every survey (maybe I should, I dunno..just seems like a waste of time on every survey).

 

The site itself & the API have to be split apart because people ping the API 24/7 tens of thousands of times a day & essentially just ddos the server.

Since they're split, the data tends to become stale & I have to manually go fix it. Its all kind of a clown fiesta work in progress situation.

TVJS will pull down updated data for anything in your queue, FWIW, but unsure if you can run multiple scripts if you have a slower setup or w/e (I think you've mentioned turking from a library? sorry my memory is sometimes shit if thats completely wrong lol)

 

Sidenote by this I mean per person. On Wednesday the API received 1,7 million requests total.

 

Oh no I used to turk from the library every now and then (good memory!) now I just turk from home on my laptop. It's kinda old and is on Linux, so it's not a great setup. I can run a decent amount of scripts but it does bog down a bit. That's good to know though, I generally discard TO reviews now and just stick with TV
