I was just reading on /r/mTurk reddit and saw someone saying how they are freaking out because they pay their mortgage with mTurk and reflecting on how bad of an idea that is, but it also made me sit down and do the math out of curiosity and I'd "only" need to do $35 per day, or $50 per day if I only worked weekdays. That's honestly not bad at all but now I'm wondering how the heck I've only made $4,500 on mTurk since I started.

 

When my roommate moved out last year I was using mturk to make up his half of the rent. It worked out short term, but it was too much pressure to do for very long. I prefer using it for some bonus income, but once I *have* to make X amount per day, I get beyond stressed.

 

I stressed the FUCK out of myself with mturk last year

now its strictly in the "do it when I would otherwise be playing video games" category, and then sometimes I need to tell myself "play some damn games you crazy person"

 

Life is one shitty video game.

 

Yeah, I get that. I occasionally catch myself sitting at my desk in the evenings in case there's a fire batch or something when I should be doing something leisurely.

I can withdraw on my phone but not via my desktop using Chrome. It has said that for a month now.
