haha, it's actually sadder than that. the lady kept it as a pet because she tried to let it go at her husband's funeral, but the thing couldn't fly. she didn't want to just leave it, so she kept it. a few years later, she had to move into an assisted living facility in her old age and couldn't keep it, so she wanted to find a good home for it but didn't know how. huge cage, bird, food, and everything else for fifteen bucks and he lived like 10 more damn years and he was fun and sweet. 5/5 pay would buy elwood again.

 

you could at least not make it to see his/her own pic in his/her glorious days to wish to die sooner to find some peace
