    true, but currently, the closest BART station to me is in fremont. which depending on what time of day is a 20 minute to 1.5 hour drive. it's almost always better to drive everywhere, unless you're going to be leaving your car unattended in like east oakland @ a sporting event

    oh, that's terrible.

    But in some parts of chicago, I'd rather be in a car than risk my life out on the red or green lines.

    yeah, i'm ok in some of the sketchy areas over in east palo alto and east oakland. i'd die if i had to take a train through like 47th

    My first few years in Atlanta I took the bus from Buckhead to the MARTA station and then rode the rail everyday to work. Wasn't too bad, but very time consuming waiting for the bus or the rail car and then stop after stop. Took it to events even after I got a car though, to save on parking and the general traffic hassle.

    i'm all for public transit, it's just garbage over here. despite being the biggest city in the bay area, san jose is like its red headed step child.

    I hung up my keys about 4 years ago when I was turning right into my drveway after dark and some ID10T MORAN without his headlights on decides I am moving too slow and proceeds to pass me on the right side of me. EVERYTHING froze in time!!! I parked my van, transferred out of the drivers seat back into my wheelchair used the lift to get out of the van, rolled back into the apartment looked at my BFF, handed him the keys and stated, "I'm done". :emoji_older_woman: I have only driven three times since and only because my BFF had a motorcycle accident. The minute he was able to drive again my keys went back on the wall and I've never looked back.
