I didn't get much sleep last night as well. I witnessed a three-car crash in front of my house late last night. My neighbor was involved. He was the only one with auto insurance, so it got ugly real quick. I made sure everyone was alright but it bothered me seeing that the owners' of the other two cars pretending to be exchanging insurance information. They had my neighbor waiting for an hour! Police finally showed up at 3 am.

They contained the fire last night! It was upsettingly close to houses, but they managed to contain it before that happened on my side of the canyon. We still have helicopters/planes occasionally flying over to check on it (smoldering and gusty here), but it's not as bad as it could have been and for that I am very, very thankful. Our humidity has actually been borderline existent recently, and that was a lucky thing. We have long stints where it's less than 3% humidity, and I don't even wanna think about the fire having started then. Nope nope nope.
