    so after some endless internet searching and help from @laby and others I narrowed my shoe search to 2 brands picked the one that was supposed to be the most stable and sprung for the express shipping. Got them yesterday, walked around the house for a little then wore them to a movie and dinner (read didn't do much walking today) almost fell coming out of the restaurant

    on the plus side the rocker bottom really does help with my totally F'd up gait so on to the next pair
