Although tbh, that's always what I tell myself, but then I never donate to charity with my own money either.

pretty sure it is a false 0% in the same way that you can get a false 100% approved after enough buffer.

Great HIT. But I wish they'd give me $5 for completing it, and another $5 to spell-check. Academic requesters, jeez!

I really wanted to keep the money. Might be a difference in personality between us, but I would've felt really guilty if I didn't help out.

And amazon smile is a way to have amazon donate some money every time you buy something to a charity of your choosing.

If it's completely painless to me, I donate. For example when I buy games on Humblebundle I change the beneficiary to a local charity that helps feed homeless people in my city, and then send 100% of the payment to them. Sure, I'm paying the minimum I have to for the bundle to get the tier I want, but the money is going 100% to charity in doing so. I do the same at smile.amazon.com send it to the same charity painlessly to myself.

I'm the guy that always tries to donate at least a portion, especially when I don't feel like I have done anything to deserve a bonus.

It is what it is, but some people do decide to donate.
