    Hi, I'm deeply allergic to lettuce. Specifically, I am allergic to a protein strand that runs thru it as well as many foods AND SOME ADHESIVES. I turn completely red. I also have a severe GI disorder and cannot eat a lot of things because they are too hard on my system to digest.

    So....yeah.

    I just can't physically tolerate lettuce and tomato on my food lol. I have to basically boil and mash or blend up veggies/fruits or I get very ill.

    My kid likes his burgers with just cheese and ketchup. But I make him order it with the lettuce and tomatoes because I happily add those to my burger.

    To be fair... here in Lousiana we love over the top food and have some...weird things. A few months ago I had a burger with remoulade and shrimp/crawfish on top of the burger patty. They also have a hot dog with the same exact toppings.
