I figured, but I never feel comfortable being the guinea pig with these types

 

There's no "working your way up from the bottom" on Prolific. You fill out the occasional demographics, install that one Prolific extension @angel mentioned and go collect your like extra $3/day or whatever.

 

Been on mturk for years.. never had an issue. was on prolific 2 weeks. they banned my account for erros that they were causing. took a month to get my account back. I just use to to buy small things.

Sidenote, does anyone know if you can contact requesters directly on Prolific w/o going through Prolific? and/or if they have consent forms in the surveys at least?
