    I was thoroughly underwhelmed and I can be sucker for apocalyptic movies.

    The ending was super anticlimactic and abrupt too. So shitty.

    I hate when people compare books to movies, it's 2 different mediums. Apples to Oranges IMO. It's just not a fair comparison

    Pros:
    Quick and easy hit, just look at two receipts and see if they are the same or different. Good for numbers. Approves in minutes.
    Cons:
    Don't generally have large batches. The timer is only 6 minutes. It was much better when they used to have a hour timer and you could just leave a panda running and fill your queue and work it like a batch.

    It's difficult not to when the book fans are apart of the target audience and are responsible for the initial hype of the movie or tv show. When things are wrong it can feel life a slap in the face.

    I can understand that, but also, there are people that couldn't even enjoy LOTR or GoT....like, how picky do you have to be?

    I agree with this. I usually think if it as they have to shorten it down because they cant fit all of it in a movie. I do love watching a movie after reading the book because I know the extra detail that the movie dont show

    I didn't enjoy what little GoT I watched. LoTR also wasn't that great during the third movie, but I felt that way about the book, too.

    OTOH, both the book and movie versions of The Shining were great in their own way. I think that's one of the few movie adaptations of books where I've actually liked both versions.

    1408 (1408), Predestination (All You Zombies), Shawshank Redemption (Shawshank Redemption) are at least three books/stories that were great movies.
