i fell asleep 10 mins before the thread time switch was going to name it “Slippery Sunday”

 

Hi all, trying to work on some server issues with the Cereal Bar game -- currently we're issuing unique IDs in the HITs to access the game -- one unique ID per game. It would make things easier if workers could enter their worker ID (would be less headache on our part with matching up unique IDs and issuing extra ones if they become invalid).

We won't release your IDs publicly of course (and the people who have access to the server are the same people who have access to the batch results, which already have worker IDs in them).

Is sharing your worker ID in a HIT being "served" on a different website something workers are comfortable with, or would you prefer not to share it? Just want to make sure before I make the change -- if not, I can stick with our current scheme

 

That shouldn't be an issue. If you wanted to streamline it you could even snag the mturk ID on the iframe load being added to the link or w/e.

Someone that understands that stuff better can hopefully explain how to do that properly.
