    I thought the same thing myself ... can't imagine there are many.

    I don't recall exactly what my numbers were when I got masters, but I think I was under 10,000. I got it a few years back when a large group of folks all got it at the same time. That was like 2 or 3 forums ago. Mturkforum, maybe? was that a thing?

    But that means that they have had masters for over a year and still are under 10k approved? tbh that should DQ you from being a 'master'

    Oh, I agree. I had no business getting masters when I did. And have no business keeping it TBH. And, even given my long periods of inactivity on MTurk I now have >30,000 HITs completed. I'm not seeing how there could be folks actively turking that meet both the criteria of (1) having masters and (2) having less than 10,000 HITS completed.
