    Pros:
99% approval. ymmv; can definitely be done faster, especially since it looks like you can work on these more than once when they pop up.
    Cons:
ymmv. all writing. Looks like they have rejected some people in the past, but 99% approval, so not too worried about it.

Anyone else have an issue accepting Annie Cui's surveys? The last few times she's put something up, her surveys show when I have hits I'm qualified to work on checked, and I have green checkmarks for all the quals, but when I go to accept, I get the you're not qualified for this task message. Haven't had that happen before.

Also, I just got started on prolific. Is there any type of review site for researchers on there? Or any resources people can recommend? I am following the prolific subreddit, so I see some stuff on there, but hoping there are some better resources available. Thanks in advance.

I saw this in an article about why young adults in England don't use raw ingredients.
“Even if you can’t make a proper meal, it’s easy to make soups or stews with the veg and potatoes, but youngsters don’t know how to do that.“

so I googled and got this about it from google ai -

Yes, you can absolutely make soup without using stock, broth, or bouillon, simply by using water as the base liquid and adding plenty of flavorful ingredients like vegetables, herbs, spices, and seasonings to create depth of taste; however, the soup might lack the richness and complexity that a broth would provide.
Key points to consider when making soup without broth:
    • Enhance with seasonings:
Add extra salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, and spices to compensate for the missing broth flavor.
    • Use flavorful vegetables:
Choose vegetables with a strong taste like onions, carrots, celery, mushrooms, and tomatoes to add natural umami.
    • Consider liquid from cooked ingredients:
If you're using canned beans or lentils, utilize their cooking liquid to add a bit of depth to your soup.
    • Add fat for richness:
A splash of olive oil or butter can help to create a richer mouthfeel.
    ------------------------------

but I tried so many times to make soup without stock, broth, or bouillion cubes. it always just tasted like boiled vegetables in water, or boiled whatever else in water. never had any "soup" taste. adding oil made the vegetables slippery and shiny. adding salt and pepper and spices just tasted like boiled vegetables with salt and pepper or other spices on them. never had a soupy taste. the cream of tomato soup tasted like oily, creamy seasoned tomato paste, and the fresh pea soup tasted like seasoned mashed peas with heavy cream.

so isn't this all wrong and you absolutely have to have stock, broth, or bouillion to make soup? making stew is different because I think you can pour in a can of tomato-whatever and then it turns into stew. but without that, again it just tasted like boiled vegetables and/or boiled or mushed other ingredients.

I'm sure I'm not the only turker who has tried to figure this mystery out.
