I can't sleep with ear plugs in, something about it being so silent is a bit unsettling for me. I can't sleep without the noise of my bedside fan.

 

Shameful amount of questions for an UNPAID screener. Should pay atleast a penny!

 

My experience has been much different in the deep deep south. Drinking, particularly more than a beer or two, is frowned upon by most people that were born and raised in the south and aren't under 30.

 

I wasn't raised a southerner though and my boss isn't either so I don't really think it applies. Also, not religious.

 

Can't even buy alcohol on Sundays where I live!! Never even heard of such a thing until I moved here.

 

How much snow do you have over there? We're at about 3-4" and it's snowing big flakes So glad I don't work today and can enjoy it from home.

 

You can buy beer and wine in Greenville county on Sundays now, which I only care about cause that's when I do grocery shopping. The rest of the state though still a nope haha.

 

Aaaand all of these anecdotes/etc is why I've just ignored it all. The world is too complex for black/white rules. All I ask, and continue to ask, is that moderation be the key to happiness in each of your lives.. or at least forum posts. Some content, due to circumstances beyond all our direct control, would be awesome to see more self-moderation on and I would appreciate a distinct drop-off in discussion instances on a personal level. But I'm not your Dad so unless you really tickle my butthole in the wrong way I'm moving on with my day in regards to most content.

 

I live in the South and you can buy alcohol on Sundays. You just can't buy it till after 12:00 pm. I guess you are supposed to go to church and then get blitzed.

 

In my experience (which does not back up my joke really) it was either split by gender and I had to join the men to even find a beer, much less the liquor, or everyone was drunk.

My problem is now I don't feel great about posting because it seems I rub some people the wrong way with my raunchy jokes who are wanting a purely work work thread. I like rules, rules are good, I know how to deal with rules. I do not like breaking them.
