Real Talk: I've never needed a booster for driving. I took my road test in a pickup, I drive a jeep now, and I've owned a mini cooper, a shitty impala, and beetle in the past. I've also driven Matt's mom's boat of a minivan through multiple states, learned to drive in a giant sedan, a pathfinder, and a big ass chevy blazer. I learned to drive stick in an 81 ford pickup with the clutch from hell. Have never needed a boost. I just avoid owning a car that I have issues seeing out of well so I don't feel paranoid when I drive. The jeep is higher up than a car, so I can see well.

Now, old planes on the other hand. I have a cushion for those. I can't always see over the nose of old stick and rudder planes like our cub and especially old war birds.
