I did forget and the league did itself an injustice by doing that to the format. I can't say that I have seen a better Boston team than this one, in the new NHL anyway. The much more talent top to bottom and I just don't see you leaves coming in and taking 4 from them. I'm not just being a homer with this team they are pretty nasty, and have managed to still take the lead in the east with significant players out for extended time.

I kinda like the playoff setup better than when there was 6 division. Playing out of your division is from the Campbell/Wales Conference days.

The playoffs, especially in the West, have been great every year since the switch.

Let's be honest... the playoffs are always great... so great... mmmm playoff hockey... ahahaghghaha

 

Well, they do have a Cup since the lockout...so it's hard to compare if this team falls short. If Chara was 5 years younger, this team would be even scarier. They are definitely the favorite in the East right now, but the Leafs have taken 3 of 4 from them in the season series...I wouldn't be all that excited to play the Leafs.

This is my first year with playoff Hockey and really Hockey in general.

 

The first and second rounds have been terrific, but the Conference finals have been pretty mediocre in comparison. With this format, you'll never get those two teams that just hate each other, because those teams are now playing in the first round.
