The best moment was when they took my plate to wrap up what was left and Matt goes, “ the lady would like her duck bones, as well.” I chimed in, “ yes, the lady would like to use them in her stock!”

The fancy people looked very scandalized.

I mean, I’m obviously gonna use those bones for my stock cause I paid for them, so I’m taking them home.

 

People like that have probably never made a stock in their lives.

We were almost gonna go there and then went to Tarpy’s! A place I thought was gonna be way more low key based off the name until I looked it up. I had a tasty duck confit and bubble drinks and Matt had this steak and shrimp thing with a bone marrow truffle butter.

How can you NOT go to a place called Tarpy’s with metal bird sculptures in the courtyard?!

Naturally, for about an hour, I was talking in a jersey shore voice and going, “ ME AND MY BOY MATTY LIKE TO HIT UP TAR-PAYS!”
