I have been having heaps of issues with plex. First Firestick wouldnt load it right. Then much like the video i would not be able to move from the Deck screen and then the server would just be gone for periods of time.
In aggravation i went and did a full reinstall and Sorted out my section. Then it happens again.
I was just about to pay for the life time licence but with all this i will stick to monthly and wait or try something new "if i find something"

 

There isn't anything else really that is actually good. I've had my lifetime sub for 4 or so years now so that doesn't really matter to me.

 

It is worth noting that I can play my videos without any issues I just have to click play directly instead of going to the page first.

Thats what i do for the most part.
I was just looking for an alternative 2 days ago. Gave up kind of fast as nothing looked as good.

 

I finally figured out how to fix that damn bug. Log out of your client and log back in. Dumb fix but w/e it works properly again.

Your main issue is that the fire stick sucks =P I haven't had any issues with roku and they just pushed an update with a new GUI that is actually pretty good.

With the firestick, i started a post on their forums about 2 months ago, about the issues that seemed to me only with the firestick.
The kids Roku loads it up just fine. I will have to update the app for them.

 

I have to go through my Anime sub and dub folders and clean it up. I've got some dupes.

 

I'm pretty sure that the roku app auto updates.
