Morning All

 

Hiya!
Seeing you here is making me try to remember my red (not really big on white) wine 'progression' country-wise.
Even way back when as a young Boomer I couldn't afford good French wine, but then I discovered Spanish 'Rioja',
which changed my life for the better for at least a few years. I want to say that I managed to get a few bottles from
1959 and 1972 at the time, but I'm sort of in a non-stop daze right now, so don't quote me on that! Eventually
some other people realized how good the Spanish stuff was, so I'm thinking I shifted to Chile, which seemed to be
the next logical step as a connoisseur bargain-basement wine. What's really bugging me right now is that I'm
sure there was a third country involved in this process, and I can't remember what it was, or if it was before or
after Chile. If I suddenly remember, I'll let you know!
