Completely agree. But if you go back in this thread to the email I got from Connect, it sounds like they will. They've been doing networking with major universities and researchers to get them to come to Connect directly.

This study aims to explore the steps people take to figure out the pronunciation of the name "Heba." Participants will be asked to share their screen and record audio while attempting to determine the correct pronunciation. The recordings will be analyzed to better understand the strategies and resources used in this process.

Instructions
1. If you haven't installed Loom, please visit https://www.loom.com/ and sign up for a free account. Download and install the Loom desktop app for your operating system (Windows or macOS).

2. Open the Loom app and sign in with your account.

3. Configure Loom settings to record both screen and audio. Make sure your microphone is properly set up.

4. Click the "Record" button in the Loom app to begin your screen and audio recording session.

5. In the next 5 minutes, try to figure out the correct pronunciation of the name "Heba." Please speak out loud and describe your thought process as you explore different strategies and resources.

6. Once you are confident about the pronunciation or have reached the 5-minute mark, please end the recording.

7. Name the recording: "HebaPronunciation_YourParticipantID" and copy the link to share the URL.

I find this amusing because I experienced the same thing. I would be shocked if they were doing anything shady but it's interesting how that works out.
