I'm in a competition online (read: popularity vote) where the more people that vote for me, the more chance I have to win this contest. I was thinking of creating a batch of about 50 HITs where I would pay people to sign up and vote for me (very simple sign up form that only requires user/pw/email on the website to vote). This would get me a bunch more votes as long as everyone followed through with the steps appropriately. I could list out 5 steps necessary to register and vote, then require them to send me a screenshot to prove they voted for me (I suppose that is the only validation I can enforce). I was not sure what I would even pay for this type of service, I would hope $0.25 or $0.50 at the most and only one hit per person.

• Has anyone seen other HITs like this before? (Not even sure this is allowed since I've never looked into creating HITs)
• Should I look at doing this on a site more like like fiverr instead?
• Other suggestions/ideas?

PS: I've already spammed my friends and family on facebook and they don't seem to be very responsive to it (also not many are computer literate, so they have trouble with the process).

 

Personally I don't recommend using mturk for this.. people will report you & spite vote for other people from what I've seen lol.
