Regarding AA, I also got sober almost 12 years ago. Didn't go to AA. That said, I made a deal with myself that before I ever allowed myself to take a drink again, I would go to AA first. So that's been a secondary motivator because I really don't want to do that.

 

Awesome congrats! Yeah I see how AA works for some folks but I am too "me" for that, it depressed the shit out of me and I only sat there and listened to a few people speak about their story for like 30 minutes and had to bolt or i would have hit the liquor store for sure.

 

Also I can't picture this guy drunk....

 

I have alerts setup on the whole forum to see when people make new threads and in the threads that I follow as well for whenever people post in them.

 

I wanted to work tonight but had way more fun just sitting here shooting the shit with y'all...fun stuffs and some real stuffs... beats penny hunts any day!

 

Congrats to you as well. I can tell you from personal experience that it gets easier and easier the more time goes by. I can hang out with people in bars and friends coming over and drinking and it doesn't faze me at all. Couldn't have done that in the first few years though.

 

So today in my mTurk Chronicles...
Earlier I caught the sketch hit ...and whoever was paired with me was amazing. I was doing it on a laptop and my drawings were absolute garbage (in hindsight I should have screen-capped to share). Icing on the cake was that when I submitted it my internet died and the HIT messed up and I needed to return it. Luckily the requester paid me anyway...but after painstakingly drawing figures out on the trackpad I was devastated.

So far my only experience going into a bar was fine as far as any urge or w/e ( I really think i have it beat) was near Christmas with a couple neighbor friends and all i could think was " was I like that? How do i still have a straight nose and teeth if I was like this???" lol I hung for like an hour only cuz the bartender lady made me a pot of coffee so i didn't want to be rude but I really like wanted to punch people

 

I'm playing FFXV right now for the first time and I really don't get the hype of this game.
