On the contrary, you need to use cider vinegar to make a fly trap. A jar with about and inch or so of vinegar and a drop or two of dish soap for a water surface tension breaker. Put where the flies are. Especially suitable for fruit flies that can swarm the house in the summer....having said all that, I do agree with you about being at least moderately polite with other people.
