If I dis-confirm their bias, then they have to do more studies to figure out where their hypothesis went wrong based on all their prior research.

 

I kept getting black ladies in their 50's or something. So obvious.

 

It's more likely they'll accuse you of being a bot or an Indian and toss your results in the trash as "unusable" because you don't confirm their bias. Pretty sure this is what happens with a solid 70% of racism studies.

 

And there were a lot more E's in there than I's, no matter the race.

I most definitely E'd tf out of guys who looked like they were my son's age. I mean, gross. Is that kid even 18????

It's okay to not be attracted to someone. What's not okay, is HATING that person for their skin tone.

 

My motto: Even when it is the participants, it's still the academics.

Light hearted memes about the dubious nature of data quality for online psychology studies.

 

So many decades of studies have shown that familiarity breeds attraction.

Therefore if you grow up in a community that has X or X and Y as the predominant races, it stands to reason (and proven studies) that you're going to find that more attractive.

But that's not racism. That's just familiarity.

I grew up in a heavily White and Hispanic area (well, from 14-18) so that's what I found attractive for my early years. Then I moved to SF and holy smoly...Hawt knows no race. Or gender. It's all fluid. Thank goodness I moved.
