I've made friends with some adult geese this spring. I let them eat the fallen birdseed from the bird feeders and in exchange they reward me with poop stains on my dock.

Slowly by slowly they've been letting me get closer and closer to them, and it got to the point where they allow me to sit by them without them growling or running away. Now when they're in the area they come swimming over to sit by me. (I also feed them tiny bits of bread and the humane society says it's ok as long as it's not too much) - so no yelling about that - but that's mostly the reason why we probably became such good interspecies pals.

Today they brought their babies over.



Cobra chickens aren't so bad after all.
