    @YarnAndCats and the rest of team textiles!!! I hope somebody is here now. I made a blanket. this isn't mine, but it has my blanket's problem. the blanket has holes everywhere, like lace. the holes aren't mistakes, like dropped stitches or whatever. the overall blanket crumples up to a small size and is very lightweight. I was trying to make a thick winter blanket.

    do you know how I can make a blanket denser in the future? I used size 4 yarn (bulky) the regular acrylic walmart skeins. needles 14" long size 9 US. if I use much thinner knitting needles like size 4 US or something would that make it denser? the pattern is a cableknit with regular knit/purl between the cables.

    I want to use the same type of yarn again ideally, I feel like it's the knitting needles or something else that is the problem.
