relevant: my loan officer has never served in the military.

Omg I'm livid. Our loan isn't closing on time because my loan team decided that instead of using the contact info I provided for them to get in touch with my insurance agent they decided to GOOGLE HIM AND USE THAT and had a typo in his email. I call to be like wtf? because I gave them the agent's info on 4/10.

He starts giving me a sob story and going 100% on the defense and then telling me how he doesn't get home until 2am and he is never there to tuck his children in to bed and proceeds to tell me that I have no idea what it's like to have family make sacrifices due to a career and to miss out on things and have no idea how hard that is or what he and his family go through. I can't believe after that last sentence that I actually had to remind him that he works for ~*VETERAN'S*~ !!! United.

 

Time to get a different loan agent.

Bit too late, our original close date was May 9 LOL. Sellers requested we push back and it's set for May 21 now but probably won't be in time and close the following day. Which sorry but is a big deal, I have appointments set up for a real estate agent for the 22nd that I have to cancel and rework around a new date with my tenant, a lumber delivery, people who are helping move expected on the 21st, gotta call my insurance agent and change that up, have to work out something with PTO with my work to get things changed around, have to contact my agent, have to reschedule my final walk through. One day is a pretty big deal as far as new arrangements I now have to make.

Unacceptable. I know things happen with closing all the time but this late in the game it's not okay when it's because they didn't type the "." in an email. Best part is they tried to accuse my insurance agent (who is AWESOME and bends over backwards when I need him to) of being unresponsive.

 

That really sucks. I hope you can get things figured out.

 

IDK how with a 60 minute timer- This is an all day task.. Probably. $10 for the day..ugh :/
