    speaking of plants, last weekend i went to a beer festival at the chicago conservatory (https://garfieldconservatory.org/event/beer-under-glass-2019/). luckily i had a brewer pass so it was free for me, because it was super duper expensive and fancy shmancy, but good lawd the beautiful plants. i wanted to live in the jurassic park fern room

    Oooh, I like the pond in the fern room...and the giant agave looking thing. When I win a billion dollars in the lottery, I'm so getting a conservatory.

    I saw agave flowering in a pic for VRAPI. The flower was taller than the house. It was so cool. One of these type.

    that's insane! i don't think i've ever seen one flowering before. don't they only bloom once? like i said in the thread earlier, i love giant plants, and i love teeny tiny plants, and they're an awesome giant plant.

    i have a yucca that has been having a helluva time trying to come back after our extraordinarily brutal winter. it's risky trying it here anyway, but i'm pretty sure it didn't like the negative 50 degree days. it's still trying though, bless its heart.
