Is anyone else having troubles with TurkerView/forum? I've tried clearing out my cache and using different browsers, but it keeps logging me out here and not allowing login on TurkerView. TIA

I don't believe the paid API key would do anything for you. Also, pretty sure it is no longer needed/used for MTS. I am 95% sure that I have seen someone mention it (maybe Chris), but unfortunately the search term API is too generic for the search.

I never paid and I am able to have turkerview enabled into MTS. isn't that all it was supposed to do?

 

I did need to find my key from this site/being logged in, but I never had to pay for that. Sorry, worked from 2am-830am and just got home from the zoo.

 

The old MTS tutorial found at the bottom of this page shows where the API was inputted, but it seems now you just provide your Turkerview credentials and everything works. Maybe buying the premium API key still unlocks more features through your login in credentials, but IDK.‍ All of this was before my return to Turking.

So I just edited out the entire conversation as it wasn't necessary to formulate my reply, but the requester admitted he's new to MTurk and already frustrated with it, I think Cesar could of definitely handled that way better, like maybe said something like ''I need to speak to someone else at MTurk to clarify why this data is showing up the way it is, why it shows it took 3d to finish" then get back to you, the whole thing seemed to escalate from the fact that he couldn't make out why the data was the way it was and instead of resolving it, he outright rejected you, which is harsh IMO when you have done the work in good faith, besides also you made a very good point. If the work was to be completed within 1d then how can you have possibly completed it 3d later? wouldn't it of timed out? It sounds like something hasn't sync'd properly at his end or the data isn't displaying properly.

I'm glad you stood up to your principles and requested to be paid for the work, obviously you don't know each other but at the same time you can't be taken for granted especially when it is $8 as well.

Is there a way to see sent emails to requesters?

 

Unfortunately, no. Amazon does not provide a means to see/track emails.

If you use the bridge tool to email about a rejection, you do get some helpful information such as confirmation it was sent or read, but that's a very niche tool and probably not helpful for your question. https://turkerview.com/account/bridge/rejections/

 

you are a good turker, I remember you from years and years ago, unless I'm confusing you with someone else.

that requester is an idiot. you aren't going to get a satisfactory response or reversal.

it is what it is. I have over 5,000 rejections.

edit: no I just checked, I have over 10,000 rejections now.

oh P.S. we can keep a hit in the queue until it expires. that can be like thirty days or something.
