Oh god, if I got a rejection I'd probably freak out and quit. I guess it's okay I returned those hits I finished anyway, I wouldn't be able to email about them anyway, so I guess all I wasted is my time.

You can send an email for any HIT that you submit. You just have to go to your HIT log and find the name of the requester that you want to get in touch with. Click on that requester name and send them a message. I do it all the time for a variety of reasons.

The amount of work I tried to do to get that trivia hit to work and I didn't even realize the requester emailed me back with a survey link. All that time wasted. lol

 

Oh, no, I meant I would be psychologically incapable of that level of confrontation, there's no way I could send somebody an email like that.

No, it's not confrontation. It's just communication between you and the person who is paying you to do a job. You don't have to make that communication confrontational. Requesters are really just folks who are trying to get a job done in an expedient manner. Most of them, most, are more than willing to talk to you about their expectations and even their mistakes.

 

it's usually as simple as something like

"Hi, can I get some clarification on my rejection? I try to do my work with integrity, but I understand that I may have made a mistake. I'd like to take it as a learning experience so I can do better in the future and to understand better what I may have missed or overlooked

I wish you the best of luck with your research,

Then they respond and say shit like - "oh fuck my bad. rejection overturned" and then you look and they never overturned the rejection. Two weeks go by, and you see it's still rejected. Then you get pissed off all over again, but then forget about it and life goes on.

 

I like a good even number too.
