07/02 - Super Sunday!

I really don't get it. It seems like a very "cut off your nose to spite your face" type of situation.

 

Dude, some guy screamed at me over his boat a few weeks ago. Apparently, the people who lived here before us let him store his boat in the barn during the summer and he just expected me to let him do it too without even really asking. I told him sorry, no, I don't feel comfortable with that because I don't know you and I'm sure as hell not giving you a copy of the gate keys, that we were moving out soon, so he could always ask the next residents. He freaked out and demanded to speak to the head of the household (lovely) and I told him to get the hell off my property at that point. He came back when Matt was home and tried to talk to him. It did not go well for him to say the least.

 

People are dumb sometimes. Really dumb.

 

"I'm gonna need to speak to a man about this" Just say what you really mean ya fuckin misogynist prick.

 

Also... It's the south, he was speaking to the head of the household.

 

And then that he like expects to get somewhere with her husband, like he's not going to back up his wife and take the side of some douchebag he doesn't know because he has a penis between his legs?

 

I'll be doing that myself, since I'm now going to spend my day making a garbage wage so I can complete every one of these & shoot him the log of my data on these fantastic folks & their accuracy in completing the validation work.

I'm super peeved about all this, because its changing the way I complete the tasks, which cuts into my earnings, and honestly gives me a bit of anxiety that someone is going to look at my work (or really, not even look at it because its 'not good enough') and not even judge it on being correct or not but by their own personal made up standards of what constitutes "proof" - & I can't really work under those kind of conditions.

if David tells me to do something, or not do something - I do it without question. But having my work flagged at will by some Turker with a God complex is not something I'm down with.

 

Little did he know how things run in the Bird House.

 

Did I miss a memo on weekly earnings reports? I usually have something in my inbox by 8 a.m. and the fairies haven't delivered anything yet. ??? Maybe I did so bad that I owe Amazon this week?

 

Sometimes it's later in the day. We had one week back in December-ish where it didn't show up till Monday or so hah!

 

Did someone flag some of your submissions? I though David said that if the address is correct, it doesn't really matter what proof there is.

Nah, not very many of mine were flagged from what I noticed when I logged the batch but I haven't looked too in depth into that yet. Just submitting as many as I can to get an idea on just how many of these are legit vs just "nah that's not good enough for me."

So far its like 20:1.. lol.

 

The funniest shit is when it's true. This is true.
