40 miles off me, pretty shaky but we're ok! I didn't realize it was happening till after it was done cause I was distracted by my sweet tunes and baking- was a little confused why the whole room was moving. Matt had everything fall over in the bathroom and was way more shocked than I was

Actually, that's pretty damn funny. I won't be going to the game as it's an away game and I'm not a big enough fan to go to away games, but this is kind of hysterical.

 

I'm too far north to have felt anything, but being in CA word spread super fast. I probably need to mark myself "safe" on FB for all my friends in other states who have no clue that I'm super far away from the shaky ground.

Was a kind of big one, though. 6.4 is not a small shaker.

 

I can't conceive of a hobby for which I would pay per hour what I could otherwise productively generate while providing a useful function for others.

I managed to text Matt's mom before she saw the news, and a couple minutes later she texts, "YOU SAID IT WAS SMALL BUT THE NEWS SAYS 6.4 IN MOJAVE DESERT!!!!"

 

Happy 4th from me and my silly siblings. We always take the 4th as "Siblings Day" until about 6:30 pm when we then allow other people to join us for a bbq and fireworks. This is the one day per year it's just us, and alcohol, lol. I love the one of them cracking up so I'm posting two pics. We always spend this day in water, but a few years ago switched from the local rivers to the pool in my yard cuz we're getting old and it's just easier to be at home, lol.

Also, today is the one day per year my hair gets cut. My bro cut off about 4" and for all you other curly girls out there...holy shit my hair now puffs out from my head another 6", lol.

I texted some friends from other areas that I'm fine, too far away to be affected. You are so much closer than me so for sure you would have felt it!!

 

I don't think Matt will let me forget the time I confused a very noticable earthquake with a really thumping bass line

 

I will admit to more than once not being sure what I felt was an earthquake. They can be confusing sometimes!

 

I hope everyone's pets stay safe and calm if you're around fireworks tonight
