I'm guessing that they set up bounds based on some other study. Ask what the bounds were... It's bad practice imo since ~5% of people legitimately will fall outside of 95% bounds. It's a jerk move.

 

It's astounding to me that none of these requesters are ever specific as to why they reject you. This is why people get angry with them and send impolite emails.
