07/11 - 7-Eleven Monday!

Awhile back I did some digging and found I had gotten CR 2 back in 2020 (as if that year wasn't bad enough...)
I did hit the request again option and it just was the same as if you request it from the HITs page. I've even emailed them about it before; their generic response is 'you don't match the quals that our requesters are looking for'.
With any luck CloudResearch will leave MTurk for their new site and that qual will die away

 

Thats weird..now the qualifications page on mturk isnt working at all...we broke it lol

I get why requesters use CR. It probably excludes the vast majority of scammers and spammers, and the interface for creating academic studies is miles above what Mturk offers by default. But the brute-force methods they use, the secrecy, lack of transparency and lack of communication is unforgivable in my opinion. As the grateful owner of a CR1 qual, I say with all sincerity, fuck CloudResearch and the horse they rode in on.

 

Looks like it was assigned to me last month -_- i took a long break from mturk and came back, lots changed so they probably compared it to old surveys they had from me and gave me the #2 which is DUMB...a lot changes in 6 years

 

It's like they talked to amazon about how they hand out masters and just went "OMG YES"
