It really does, I was so excited for the touchbar and everything and it's just so disappointing, it's such a lemon. Mine was so hot I bought a little cooling thing and that didn't even really help (obviously, lol). Do you have issues with the sticky keys too? The funniest part of this is how accurate it is, especially gloating about WeHo. And my constant need for validation.

 

I have a 2014 that I've treated like it was my human child, and it developed some kind of overheating thing with the charging port (burned power pins). I tried to get it fixed last year. The Apple store refused to fix it (despite me wanting to pay for the fix at full price, it was out of warranty anyway), said there was water damage (never happened), and then tried to sell me a new Macbook in the next sentence. Got it fixed on my own through parts from iFixit.

I dread when it finally does die because I don't think I'll be able to get a Macbook again, with the way Apple wants to do things now to increasingly make them unfixable.

Omg yes this! They told me it's 600 to fix because out of warranty and then pushed me to buy the new one that was 3 times the price and I totally fell for it because I really needed the laptop since it happened a week before my senior thesis was due. I think had it happened any other time I would have been like take my money but save my laptop lol the webcam and the keyboard were so much better. Like now pictures comes out so grainy that I just can't deal with that.
