@ChrisTurk have there been no "New Member Introductions" for a month? Usually they pop up sometimes - just was wondering if the link was broken, or just been a slow time?

The overwhelming majority of registrations nowadays are done through MTS, which means the forum is basically a hidden corner of the site that no one will ever see lol

 

I didn't even realize this forum was here until I randomly clicked on a link somewhere.. don't even remember where and saw I had a bunch of notifications

 

Aw. That's kind of a bummer. It was fun to meet new people (most of the time )

 

Yea it's kinda a double-edged sword.. integrating the forum into the site/tooling more would be a) relatively annoying to people who have no interest in participating in an mturk forum and b) drastically increase the need for actual moderation/community issues

Not doing it leads to a fest

Yeah I can see that.

I am happy that MTS Hit Tracker is finally back and working for me (as of today) though. I can now search for HITs I've previously done without the wheel of death showing up. So that's very cool.

Is there anyway for folks who register through MTS to have an "opt in if you click here" for TV option? So that way you don't have to completely integrate, but only get folks who want to be here?

Cons:
The amount of time to complete the HIT itself would be considered "Good", however, the study itself has a lot involved.
