    I was supposed to make some crispy Asian inspired honey siracha chicken tonight...was going to be all fancy and serve it over some nice jasmine rice.

    I say "supposed to" because I just realized I'm out of cornstarch and honey.

    This is fine...I'm going to make this happen one way or the other. This is basically iron chef except I don't have fancy ingredients

    so more like copper chef.

    You can boil brown sugar in water till it reduces down into a syrup and it's a nifty sub!

    Maple syrup (or even a bit of molasses) + corn syrup works for certain things, but I'd go brown sugar for honey chicken, personally.

    I'd suggest barley malt syrup, but it's the one thing I always forget to buy, and end up using honey for:emoji_laughing::emoji_laughing:
