    Massive hemorrhaging/bleeding behind my left eye which explains why I can't see currently, and it's starting behind my right.

    They said this is -usually- a sign of high blood pressure/diabetes...however my bloodwork over the years and even up to around 7 months ago has shown no signs of either ever being an issue in my entire life. So either something has changed in the past 7 months or there is another issue.

    I go to a retina specialist Tuesday to see if there is long-term damage to my eyes and I have to obviously go do bloodwork in the next few days to see why my body has decided now is the right time to kill me.

    jfc, ok this might sound odd, but thats the EXACT thing a friend was told but she has had diabetes pretty much as long as ive known her (and ive known her since 3rd grade.....im 42 lol) and they had to do a litany of tests to figure out why that was happening and eventually they adjusted her insulin and shes on low grade BP pills now. super sorry to hear that man, thats gotta be distressing as fuck

    To be fair I toss humor in about everything so I don't blame you.

    I did try to get the doctor to give me cybernetic eyes and accused him of lying when he said those didn't exist.

    Nope! I usually try to avoid stuff like that in general if I know I have blood work coming up. I don't want them to see like 1500 blood sugar and just start tossing me in the morgue.

    The @angel approach of posting bad personal news on the forum. Long paragraphs that end in a joke get a LOL every time now matter how many dead family members are in all the sentences my brain skips over.

    Yep, I'm expecting something similar honestly. I'll be scheduling the bloodwork asap and get in to see my GP so she can finally realize why taking me as a patient was a mistake.

    Guess we will see what's going on but I'm sure this will take a few weeks to figure out.

    yeah, well i hope it turns out ok in the long run. she had this incident about...2 years back now. i ask her about it mainly cause we both have super weird ass eye issues (i have keratoconus, thats a super fun one) and with her being a nurse, its super stressing for her. from what she tells me, the bp meds stopped the problem for the most part within a few weeks.
