You may have heard of Happy SAD, but today, it's happy MAD—Moderator and Admin Day! July 28th is the 18th annual SysAdmin Day, and as such, it seemed to be the perfect time to shower our lovely TurkerHub staff with some love and appreciation for all they do. Similar to the job of a referee, moderating and adminning (is that a word? It is now), are often thankless jobs that only get noticed when something goes awry. But today, we want to pause and thank @ChrisTurk, @GreenMachine842, @Melting Glacier, @TissueHime, @TNK, @Tripsa, and @WimpLo for all the hard work they do every day that doesn't always get the sort of gratitude it deserves. Despite its various dramas, the overall community and vibe here generally arcs towards generosity and genuineness, and much of that culture is due to the staff here. I have the greatest admiration for you and appreciate that you lend us your time and attention to help this forum keep itself straight. So staff, prepare yourselves for lots and lots of DMs, mentions, and general showerings of thanks. Members, prepare to send lots and lots of the aforementioned thingamabobs. TL;DR: Happy SysAdmin Day; Members go thank @ChrisTurk and any and all mods P.S. There is also a thread devoted specifically to this cause with the same intro here, but since we all know the daily is 90% of the forum, also expect lots of happy wishes directly on the daily/your inboxes. P.P.S. July 28th is also vaguely close to CT's half-birthday, as his actual birthday is Dec. 29th, and since Dec. 29th is a rubbish time of the year for a birthday feel free to also consider this as an opportunity to shower CT with birthday wishes disguised as Admin wishes.
