EXACT same problem I had about a year ago. They randomly updated something and I had to reverify but it wouldn't let me reverify my accounts. Then the most recent time it happened it had to do with my social security number and reverify THAT. Now its happening again and I'm still waiting to hear from Amazon Payments about what the issue is now.

on a side note I haven't changed ANYTHING with my Amazon account since I first opened the account. Same bank info I've had for years
