    it's going. bad year but concept proved. Lost all of June and half of July to helping my aunt move to Florida which upset the applecart as it were.

    Trying to mturkgrind to get some capital, but man it's dead.

    Apparently there is a two level bridge on the route of the NYC marathon and it's "well known" that you should take the upper level or stay away from the edges if you're forced onto the lower level, because there are a lot of people urinating over the side.

    Speaking of homesteading and the like

    Tried to do a huge garden this year and it didn't work out since my wife has vertigo and couldn't really help with the upkeep. I think I'm going to build some raised planters this fall so I can do a big round of planting. I have...a lot of compost created by the chickens so I need to put it to use anyway.

    We love it. It's pretty much a self-sustaining cycle with the chickens once you get it going. One day we will get to move a bit further out in the country with some more land so we can have more gardeny stuff. Wife has always wanted a small farm/big garden so one way or the other we're going to make it happen.

    Even if it means I have to flail around with power tools and boards until I create something that works.
