On a serious note, though: you really really want to keep your approval rate above 99%, and you're already at 99.25% which is kinda a little scary, so I would try to avoid doing any sketchy-looking batches for now while you're building up your numbers.

 

you should get panda crazy or hit catcher. get hit finder and use it with 1 or the other of those.

get hit finder and check the approval rating of every single requester while deciding if you want to do their hit. @stargazer66 all this applies to you too. I'm sorry I guess no one realized @surveycub2024 didn't know any of this, so maybe you don't know either?

 

PS I've been here forever and I still don't know which is better panda crazy or hit catcher and why 1 would be better than the other. but you need 1 or the other to catch what you want.

 

are you using finder? within mturk suite. are you using hit catcher?

 

I honestly thought everyone just gave it their best efforts and hoped for the best. I have read about folks reporting certain HITs but it mostly resulted in nothing happening at all. So, I thought it was all normal, try, and fail on some while you conquer what HITs you can find that prove fruitful. I am tickled about hitting my 4 hit daily quota... today is a day when I hit 0.

Both are about the same when it comes to catching HITs, but Panda Crazy has a lot more advanced functionality (like search pandas, better grouping of pandas, Ham mode, etc etc), while HIT Catcher is very basic. For new users I would recommend MTurk Suite with its HIT Catcher just simply because it's more straightforward and they also get HIT Finder in the same extension.

 

you need to set up hit finder. and either hit catcher or panda crazy. maybe tonight isn't the best time near the end of the day. you could ask questions another day if you don't know how.

 

I have never heard of someone having a daily goal of four hits until today.

 

I used to have it set up for 25, but I soon learned that 25 was a stretch.. not attainable, so I set it to 5 and finally 4.... anything above 4 I am cool with.

 

I am using HIT finder and most of the HITs are showing red bars at the left by most of the HITs. The ones that are green when I click on them it will go to a page that has red box that says the HIT is no longer available. I am trying to figure out how to use the catcher... What are the best settings?? Perhaps I have myself blocked out or something...
