What I can tell you is Eau de Toilette has a higher concentration of perfume (scented oils) than body sprays which is why eau de toilette lasts longer. Cologne and perfume have a higher concentration of oils than eau de toilette. In French the term toilette is also used as an all encompassing term for grooming, i.e. faire sa toilette (brushing teeth, washing, combing hair, applying makeup, lotions, perfume etc...) Hence the term Eau de toilette.
